Pay online by ticket number or licence plate, in person at the Public Service Centre, or by cheque/money order through mail or the Pandora Avenue deposit box. Do not mail cash.

The city reduces fines paid in the first two weeks, sends reminders at 45 and 60 days and refers unpaid fines to ARO after six months. If a message seems suspicious, confirm it with Parking Services before paying.

First review and evidence

Use the online review form, email the ticket copy with your name, contact details and reason, or complete a form at City Hall on weekdays 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. A telephone conversation is not a formal review request.

If you disagree with the review result, contact parkingservices@victoria.ca for adjudication. Request the city evidence package before the hearing if useful; it includes the ticket, applicable officer notes and photos, bylaw excerpt and your correspondence.

Adjudication limits

A hearing normally takes fifteen to thirty minutes, with at least fourteen calendar days’ notice. Evidence can be presented in person, by scheduled phone hearing or by a representative.

The adjudicator decides whether the reported violation occurred, not personal hardship, and cannot reduce the fine. A valid finding adds $25 to the full ticket price. Missing the hearing or being unreachable by the chosen method results in a valid ticket.
